The Psychosocial Impact of Educators on the Lives of Students

Given the multiple societal, financial, and in-school challenges facing today’s educators, school staff may come to underestimate and undervalue the vital role they play in the development of healthy, well-educated children. Using his own experience as a product of the Jersey City public school system, contemporary research findings, ancient wisdom, and humor, Dr. Núñez challenges educators to view themselves as potentially transcendent figures who can continue to occupy a space of prominence in the lives of children long after the school year ends, with far-reaching repercussions.
